Booqoo is an expense-tracking mini app that runs as a Telegram bot — no separate app install required. Track spending directly from a chat interface.

Self-hosted on repurposed hardware

Instead of renting a cloud VM, Booqoo runs on a set-top box (STB) — low-cost ARM hardware originally built for IPTV/Android TV — reflashed with Armbian, a lightweight Debian-based Linux distribution for ARM boards. It sits at home as a small always-on server: cheap, low power draw, and a hands-on way to work with ARM Linux, systemd services, and self-managed deployment outside the usual cloud-VM workflow.
